Overview

Freshminds has partnered with a innovative merchant bank to find an experienced Analyst to support the leadership team as they scale.

This is a unique opportunity to combine deal execution with the entrepreneurial energy of a start-up environment. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll gain front-row exposure to high-profile transactions across sectors such as defence, critical infrastructure, energy, media, and education. The role blends origination, execution, and direct client interaction, offering both responsibility and accelerated development from day one.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Originate opportunities through targeted research and develop thematic insights at the intersection of policy and markets
  • Build and maintain valuation and financial models, supporting transaction analysis and deal execution
  • Manage elements of live mandates, including process management, due diligence coordination, and client/adviser engagement
  • Prepare high-quality pitch materials and present directly to senior stakeholders, including C-suite clients

Requirements:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, top-tier consulting, or ACA qualified accountants from the Big Four (corporate finance/transaction services).
  • Demonstrable deal experience with strong modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Clear interest in geopolitics and understanding of its implications for transactions in regulated sectors
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working in lean teams with direct senior client exposure
