Job description

Our client is a PLC capital investor which focuses on scaling high-growth, innovative businesses across all sectors, aimed at sky rocketing them to household name status.

They are seeking a senior corporate lawyer on a 12 month fixed term contract to lead on corporate transactional work, relating to venture capital and private equity investments, as well as M&A.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting & negotiating the full suite of corporate documentation in relation to investment deals made by the business, along with the security & loan documents.
  • Managing the relationship with key stakeholders within the business.
  • Advising on corporate governance / corporate finance matters.
  • Advising on some generalist commercial matters such as general B2b commercial contracts, IP, insolvency, GDPR & employment, which will include the management of external lawyers.
  • Maintaining & updating legal precedents / templates and delivering training to the business.

The role is appropriate for a senior corporate lawyer seeking to utilise their skillset in an in-house setting where they can retain the ability to focus mainly on the corporate transactional work itself, but within an in-house environment where there is a genuine work life balance & a supportive, friendly culture.

The role is full time but also open to those seeking a part time role for 4 days a week (0.8 FTE). The business operates a hybrid working policy so some office contact is required in the West Midlands HQ.
