About Our Client

Our client are going on an exciting growth journey and so are looking for support within the Procurement team to help streamline suppliers, cut costs through expert negotiations and manage a number of IT & Tech suppliers as well as other categories including Professional Services & HR. The role can based in Leeds or the North East and would be working on a hybrid basis.

Job Description

As Interim Procurement Lead duties will include, however, not be limited to:

  • Be working in a stand alone role within procurement.
  • Manage a number of contracts with Tier 1 suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of services.
  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and priorities.
  • Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Interim Procurement Lead should have:

  • Proven experience in procurement - can be category agnostic or have generalist procurement experience.
  • Strong contract negotiation and supplier management skills with Tier 1 or large Suppliers.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
