Interim Financial Analyst (6-12 Weeks - potentially longer)

£400-450per day

4/5 days a week - Hybrid (1-2 in the office)

Location: Oxfordshire or Leicester

A national charity is seeking an Interim Financial Analyst to support a major financial transformation programme. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you ll provide forward-looking analysis and modelling to guide operational and strategic decisions across the organisation. This role is suited to someone experienced in working with complex and confidential data, providing insight and recommendations that support effective decision‑making and future planning.

Key responsibilities
  • Build and maintain financial/operational models to support transformation and efficiency.
  • Analyse trends, benchmarking and performance data to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Support long‑term planning, forecasting and scenario modelling for SLT and Board.
  • Prepare clear insight and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Contribute to business case development and ongoing systems/reporting improvements.
About you
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Skilled at turning complex data into meaningful insight.
  • Advanced Excel and strong systems capability.
  • Comfortable working cross‑functionally and presenting to senior leaders.
Desirable
  • Power BI/Business Objects
  • Experience in complex organisations or the charity sector.
