Job description

This Leeds based business currently have a requirement for a Senior Accountant to join the business on an Interim basis, with a high potential to become more permanent.

The purpose of the role is to support the business in managing the month end process as well as managing a team. You will be required to drive continuous improvement to speed up and streamline the month end processes and be responsible for accurate cash flow forecasting, working closely with the business to manage cash outflows and management foreign exchange contracts.

Preparation of management accounts ready for review, including but not limited to:

• Sales and margin reporting
• Overhead review and analysis
• Accruals and prepayments
• Intercompany loan reconciliations
• Balance sheet reconciliations and valuations
• Stock provisions and reconciliations
• Board pack preparation

VAT Reporting:

• VAT returns for: UK, Germany, France, Spain
• Reconciliation of all VAT returns to TB
• Intrastat returns

Other responsibilities:

• Provide input and support to business
• Assisting in budget and forecast preparation
• Assist in year-end audit
• Fixed asset management and accounting
• P&L analysis for CT returns
• General management of the finance team
• Carrying out one-to-ones and appraisals
• Being in charge of the development for the finance team
