A local government authority in Ipswich is seeking a Corporate Fraud team member to support intelligence and investigative services. Join our highly regarded Corporate Fraud team at Ipswich Borough Council and play a vital role in protecting public funds and tackling fraud.
This role will provide a wide range of intelligence and investigative support to the Corporate Fraud Service, including establishing, managing, and maintaining efficient and effective intelligence systems.
Based at Grafton House, you will be the key point of contact for the receipt and dissemination of intelligence. You will be responsible for the collation and validation of intelligence to support the achievement of the Corporate Fraud Services objectives, ensuring that intelligence is used ethically and in accordance with relevant legislation and Codes of Practice.
This role fully supports the Corporate Fraud Investigators by undertaking background enquiries and analysis and controlling the case management system in accordance with legislative requirements.
You will be educated to A-Level or equivalent and have a sound understanding of the National Intelligence Model and its application. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. You’ll bring experience in analysing and interpreting data, with the ability to make informed recommendations based upon available intelligence.
Attention to detail and accuracy are key, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.
Hours of work are 22.2 per week, Monday to Friday.
DBS clearance is required for this role.
This is a hybrid working role (a minimum of 1 day per week working in the office).
