We are currently looking for an Integration Manager to effectively lead the Test Campaign on a prestigious satellite programme. This is a senior position of responsibility. The successful candidate will be capable of independently managing cost/schedule/resources on this complex space project in the field of Integration & Test. After the Test Campaign the individual shall go on to lead the Launch Campaign.

It is expected that this role will operate from our client’s site, as such you will be expected to be willing and able to support site attendance in Stevenage 5 days a week as required. Travel both in the UK and overseas will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the AIT function of the satellite project reporting to the programme manager.
  • Managing the AIT element of a project to successfully complete project PDR’s, CDR’s, Integration, test, environmental test and launch campaigns.
  • Provide manning and facility requirements to AIT & Facilities.
  • Produce weekly progress reports to the project manager.
  • Production and maintenance of AIT plans and support to project DDV Plans, and approval of all project AIT documentation
  • Manage and be responsible for the administration of the project teams at the launch site.
  • Manage and interface with Environmental facilities (in Stevenage and Portsmouth), ground segment and launch authorities
  • Co-ordinate the support with major external suppliers for GSE, test facilities and launch services
  • Represent project AIT interests at external meetings with customers, suppliers etc.
Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering with ideally electrical/electronic background. Where applicable suitable experience in addition to a lower qualification such as HNC would be acceptable

  • Experience gained within the Space Industry
  • Experience of assembly, integration and testing on flight hardware at Unit, Subsystem, Spacecraft level.
  • Experience in launch campaign would be an asset
  • Experience on flight hardware integration and testing
