Overview
Come and join our integrated children's therapy team in East Sussex, supporting the needs of children and young people aged 0-19. The East Sussex Children\'s Integrated Therapy and Equipment Service (ESCITES) is provided by Kent Community Health Foundation Trust. We are recruiting an Integrated Therapy Assistant to join our Integrated Care Team consisting of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Integrated Therapy Assistants. We have three main bases in Crowborough, Polegate and Hastings. You will be based in Polegate but will need to travel around the county.
Responsibilities
- Work with families and school/nursery staff to implement therapy plans written by the therapists and offer advice on the needs of the children and young people you are working with.
- Work directly with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in clinics and schools when they need assistance.
Requirements and Qualifications
- The successful applicant will have good communication skills and the desire to develop their skills and knowledge particularly in the areas of physiotherapy and occupational therapy.
- Car owner/driver essential, subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act (1995).
Support, Induction and Development
- Our support and induction offered to new staff includes regular meetings with your line manager, clinical supervision and appraisal, as well as internal and external training opportunities.
