Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in a local reputable supermarket. This role is essential in ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for both employees and clients. Ideal candidates will have experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and a commitment to high standards.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors


• Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other communal areas


• Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately


• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are stored correctly


• Follow health and safety regulations while performing cleaning duties


• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team


• Assist with special cleaning projects as required

Requirements

• Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable


• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards

Hours of work

• Part time - 6 mornings or 6 afternoons per week


• Monday to Saturday


• 6am-9am (prior to store opening) or 4pm-8pm (store closure)
