Inside Sales Executive

Location : Southampton, Office based

Hours : 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm

Salary : £30,000 per annum

Purpose of the job

Responsible for building relationships with assigned accounts and prospects, to promote the Garmin brand and increase market share. Other responsibilities include outbound sales calls and customer service, for assigned dealer accounts to increase sales and maximise service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with key business partners and dealers
  • Partner with the Sales Manager(s) in the development and execution of strategies, designed to increase market share and profit with existing accounts
  • Develop territory and manage accounts through inbound and outbound sales calls, internal tracking and coordination in a team environment with SM(s), the Regional Sales Team and Head of Sales
  • Recommend the sale of additional product offerings and merchandise to dealers, in order to expand the Garmin brand presence within the retail store and online environments
  • Input and coordinate the reporting of sales forecasts, to enable data to be provided to the UK & Ireland Demand Planner
  • Meet sales goals and objectives set by Garmin management
  • Educate dealers on products and promotions and ensure accurate Sales financial reporting and information through working with the Sales Support / Admin and Finance teams, to provide data on sales, margins, accruals, co-op, SOAs, etc.
  • Answer and handle customer phone calls and emails to ensure customer requests are processed
  • Inform customers of unit prices, shipping information, inventory availability, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed
  • Follow up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates, run open order reports as needed / requested
  • Process and follow up with customer requests, inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
  • Communicate with Order Management / Analysts, Production, Sales, Shipping, Warehouse and any other personnel needed to assist in the processing of the customer orders & / or inquiries
  • Follow up on miss‑shipped orders, damaged orders and complete shipping discrepancy forms
  • Issue Return Material Authorisations and credit memos when applicable
  • Compile statistics and prepare various reports for management as requested
  • Maintain open and honest communication with peers, department supervisors and senior management
  • Attend meetings, tradeshows and training sessions as required
Education & Experience
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of order entry, preferably with a thorough understanding of Oracle
  • Order administration and sales experience in a business-to-business environment
  • Must possess experience performing a customer service & / or inside sales role, substantially similar to the essential functions of this job description
  • Must possess a proven track record in meeting established goals
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of Garmins product line
  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
Must be self‑motivated and energetic

Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

Must possess the ability to prioritise, organise and multi‑task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

Must be detail‑oriented with excellent organisational skills
