A growing manufacturing company is seeking an Injection Moulding Setter to optimize injection moulding operations at its Sheffield headquarters. This full-time, hands-on role involves ensuring machine efficiency, meeting production targets, and maintaining high-quality standards. Loadhog is seeking a hands-on Injection Moulding Setter to join its growing team and play a pivotal role in optimising injection moulding operations. The role is based at Loadhog’s headquarters in Sheffield and presents an excellent opportunity for a thorough, hardworking individual to join a growing and ambitious business.
Reporting to the Moulding Team Leader, this is a full-time, permanent position. The working hours follow a 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour shift pattern: four days on 6am–6pm, followed by four days off; then four days on 6pm–6am, followed by four days off. Flexibility is essential, as occasional changes may be required to meet business needs.

The Injection Moulding Setter will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of machines, meeting production and quality targets, and maintaining housekeeping standards across the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Providing written and verbal handovers to other shifts and the wider team
Performing tool changes safely on various moulding machines
Operating injection moulding machines to meet production targets
Carrying out quality control checks in line with the cycle of control and customer specifications
Recording downtime and scrap accurately via the Gemba system
Ensuring all paper records are accurate and up to date
Conducting tool and material trials as required
Hanging tools in machines and connecting all required auxiliaries
Starting and maintaining efficient production runs
Operating material conveyance and chiller systems
Conducting colour and material changes
Minimising downtime and scrap to maintain optimum production
Meeting or improving production targets, including cycle times
Responding to production or quality issues raised through audits or by team members
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through the kaizen system
Maintaining high housekeeping standards within the department

The successful candidate will ideally demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Proven experience in an injection moulding role
Experience with Engel injection moulding machines (preferred)
Familiarity with Viper 3-axis robots and Kuka 6-axis robots
Experience working with machinery from 100t to 1700t
Mechanical and electrical knowledge (advantageous)
Ability to read technical drawings, diagrams, and manuals
Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
Awareness of quality standards in a manufacturing environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management skills
Willingness to train and develop across additional technologies
Commitment to personal development
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively under pressure
