An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering a major infrastructure package in Plymouth. The project involves a complex mix of enabling works, utilities, and public realm improvements.

Role Overview

You'll be responsible for leading on-site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and programme targets. This role requires strong coordination skills across engineering, commercial, and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee site operations to ensure safety, quality, and progress
  • Ensure works are delivered in line with approved designs and specifications
  • Support planning, technical queries, and stakeholder meetings
  • Work with commercial teams on forecasts and cost control
  • Manage material logistics and site documentation
Candidate Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering qualification
  • SMSTS and CSCS
  • NEC contract experience preferred
  • Strong civils or highways background
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate on-site teams
