Job description
Responsibilities
  • Manage hybrid software, hardware, and web-based/SaaS products from concept through final deployment and sustainment
  • Administer and support Windows and/or Linux-based systems and integrations, ensuring consistent uptime and secure configuration
  • Support virtualization environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud deployments (e.g., Azure)
  • Configure and troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs
  • Perform routine maintenance: patching, backups, log reviews, and system health checks
  • Support configuration management and change control processes to ensure integrity of system baselines
  • Design and implement system improvements and automation
  • Monitor and respond to incidents, alerts, and user support requests
  • Coordinate with cybersecurity, software, and helpdesk teams to ensure operational continuity
  • Act as point of escalation for IT support and major incidents, working with vendors to resolve complex technical issues
  • Provide subject matter expertise across multidisciplinary teams to ensure interoperability and system performance
  • Document network/system configurations and standard operating procedures
Minimum Requirements
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, automation, and network infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of system integration involving web, software, and hardware platforms
  • Advanced system administration (Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficiency in automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with security best practices (firewalls, IAM, patch management)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to administer enterprise systems such as Microsoft M365, Active Directory/Group Policy, and Okta
  • Advanced understanding of various infrastructure and network technologies such as WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, Windows Server operating systems
  • Understanding of Disaster recovery and business continuity planning procedures
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in network and systems administration
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and basic networking principles
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and system hardening practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
