Overview:

The Infrastructure team provides foundational technology, engineering, security, and support systems that power the innovative services at the heart of Capstone's investment strategies. We're looking for a highly motivated technologist driven to provide exemplary customer service in a global environment. You'll partner with professionals across the firm to deliver cutting edge solutions to interesting problems.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, possesses exceptional problem-solving skills, a collaborative mentality, and an ability to bring innovative ideas to life. The role offers great exposure to the many and varied areas of the hedge fund. To thrive at Capstone, a keen curiosity about technology and artificial intelligence is essential, as we continuously drive innovation and enhance our strategic capabilities.

Our future colleague has these skills:
  • 7 or more years working experience, ideally in the financial sector, centred in trading of equity, credit, and derivative products.
  • Service-oriented mentality; focusing on exceptional responsiveness, accountability, timely completion of tasks, and teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Diligence in task tracking, documentation, cross-training, and information sharing to continuously improve technology service delivery.
Technology Skills:
  • Proven engineering and operations experience in a globally distributed hybrid technology infrastructure.
  • Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure technology including storage, network, computing, virtualization, and containerization.
  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and network engineering and administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft identity platforms, Microsoft 365 and associated services.
  • Proficient with multi-cloud computing platforms, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Expertise in management of monitoring and alerting tools to ensure infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Knowledge of data protection operations including backup, restore, replication, and disaster recovery processes.
  • Skill in process/task automation and scripting languages.
  • Experience in service management tools and best practices (ITIL, ITAM, ITSM) and IT Project management.
Bonus Skills:
  • 2 or more years' experience managing technology professionals.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
