Your opportunity
Execute the migration of our on-premises datacenters to Azure AVS (Azure VMware Solution).
Provide strong file server management as we transition to a Cloud NAS file system from on-prem Windows file servers.
Perform VMware updates and patching, including managing VM Tools on guest OSes.
Oversee BAU (business as usual) tickets and tasks, such as monitoring automated server deployments (ServiceNow form + SCCM task sequencep>
Administer the data backup environment meeting SLAs and adhering to policy and lead efforts that improve the quality and availability of the backup, server, storage, and virtualization systems.
Assist with migration from on-prem servers and storage to Azure VMware solution.
Manage and maintain existing on-prem Cisco UCS servers for the next two years.
Close security findings as they are identified by the IT security team.
Perform disaster recovery testing.
Collaborate with teams based in Denver and London.
Monitoring systems and custom alerting escalation administration.
Support backup technologies and disaster recovery tools, with a focus on Cohesity and Zerto.
Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills
Proven experience with VMware, including updates/patching and VM Tools management.
Strong expertise in file server management (DFS, NTFS, shares, robocopy, etc.).
Experience with server hardware/firmware.
Familiarity with backup technologies and disaster recovery tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to be on-call every other week (daytime hours only).
Nice to have skills
Knowledge of Azure, especially Azure VMware Solution (AVS).
Experience with MS Orchestrator.
Familiarity with Cohesity's backup solution.
Familiarity with Zerto's DR software.
Skills in Windows/Active Directory.
Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, VCP, CCNA).
Experience in storage management (SAN or VSAN).
