Job summary

A leading technology recruitment agency is seeking an Infrastructure Analyst for a role based in Coventry. This position requires strong expertise in VMware and Cisco technologies while offering a flexible remote work arrangement, requiring presence two days a week. Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and resolve production service incidents.
• Create accurate technical documentation.

Job description

Infrastructure Analyst - Coventry 2 days a week - Circa £300 per day inside ir35 - 3 months+

Role Description

• Completes tasks to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales with minimal supervision.
• Looks for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes / procedures.
• An effective team member who provides support and guidance to peers and other team members.
• Contributes to team efficiency through the creation of accurate technical documentation where required.
• Responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving production service incidents.
• Undertake technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts and configuring backups.
• Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first.

Essential Skills

• An understanding of VMware vSphere & related technologies
• An understanding of Cisco UCS & HPE infrastructure
• Some experience using vRealize Operations Manager to monitor and administer a virtualised environment
• An appreciation of VMware Management products such as vRealize Automation and vRealize Log Insight
• An understanding of VMware Site Recovery Manager
• Some experience with implementing VMware solutions
• An understanding of virtualisation architectures and some experience supporting
• An understanding and practical application of IBM Storage Technologies including Block Storage & File Storage systems
• An understanding and practical application of Spectrum Scale
• Experience working with Cisco UCS & HP Blade infrastructure
• appreciation of Backup software (Commvault)
• An appreciation of Storage technologies (IBM, Block Storage, File Storage etc)
• An appreciation of Monitoring Technologies (SolarWinds, AppDynamics, Datadog etc)
• An appreciation of Cloud technologies (AWS / Azure) and associated features
• An understanding of Linux command line technologies
• Knowledge of AWS server administration and features
• Some experience of working within an Agile delivery environment
