A leading motorsport organization in Milton Keynes is looking for a skilled 2nd Line IT Support Engineer. The role focuses on providing operational support for high-performance systems including Simulator and Dyno environments. Candidates must have a background in IT with strong troubleshooting and communication skills. We are seeking a skilled and motivated 2nd Line IT Support Engineer with strong technical troubleshooting skills and end-user support experience. This role focuses on providing day-to-day operational support for Simulator, Dyno, Rig, and associated IT systems, acting as an escalation point from 1st Line and working closely with 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineers.
The ideal candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working in a high-performance, time-critical environment, with a strong interest in progressing toward a future 3rd Line Infrastructure or Specialist role. Prior experience supporting complex technical environments, such as engineering, manufacturing, or motorsport systems, is highly desirable.
The role is predominantly factory-based, with occasional involvement in trackside event support and remote site support (e.g. wind tunnel facilities).
This position requires you to have Knowledge, Skills and Experience with the following technologies:
Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting for the Simulator, Dyno and Rig environments
Troubleshoot hardware, software, OS, network, and application-related issues impacting engineering systems.
Support the deployment and maintenance of IT solutions used within telemetry and car systems toolchains.
Assist with monitoring, alerting, and improving visibility of Dyno, Simulator, and Rig environments.
Standardise and Maintain the IT Infrastructure supporting Telemetry toolchain environments
