Overview

Would you like to join our friendly midwifery team in East London? An exciting opportunity has arisen to extend your IT skills within a Midwifery setting. We are looking to recruit an informatics specialist midwife to lead informatics within the maternity department at Whipps Cross Hospital.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate and lead on the digital strategy for Maternity at Whipps Cross and support the wider Barts health Informatics strategy, working closely across site with counterparts.
• Support information technology regarding clinical documentation; knowledge of Cerner Millennium (CRS) for recording clinical records is essential.
• Ensure the accuracy of data within the service and provide reports as required.
• Lead new IT developments and support the implementation of a new Informatics system.
• Coordinate and provide information technology support and training within the Maternity Team.
• Take overall responsibility for data accuracy, support staff with correct electronic information input, prepare the maternity dashboard, and produce monthly KPI reports for dissemination, discussion, and data quality assurance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and IT competent midwife with experience in clinical documentation and data reporting.
• Knowledge of computer-based clinical documentation and Cerner Millennium (CRS) is essential.
