Job Vacancy: Industrial Sewing Machinist

Location: Kings Norton, Birmingham

Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary

Start Date: 25th November

Working Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our client's soft furnishings production team. You will be working on a range of industrial machines to create high-quality cushions, curtains and other soft furnishings for showroom environments.

Key Duties of an Industrial Sewing Machinist

• Operating industrial sewing machinery including:
  • Flat bed sewing machines
  • Over lockers
  • Blind hem machines
• Producing cushions, curtains and other bespoke soft furnishings
• Working accurately to patterns, designs and specifications
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Supporting the wider production team when required

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar industrial sewing role (desired)
• Proven experience using flat bed machines, over lockers, and blind hem machines
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• High attention to detail and strong craftsmanship
