Connect Appointments are recruiting individuals to become Industrial Cleaning Operatives with our Polmont based clients night shift team.

As an Industrial Cleaning Operative, you'll play a key role in maintaining and cleaning machinery, ensuring smooth operations. The job involves working at heights (harness training provided) and occasionally in confined spaces.

What will you be doing?

  • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc cleaning on industrial equipment to maintain high safety and operational standards
  • Working at heights safely, following provided harness training
  • Occasionally working in confined spaces
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance by removing and replacing guards and preparing machinery for engineering tasks
  • Conducting safety inspections and contributing to ongoing safety and operational improvements

To be successful in this Industrial Cleaning role, you will ideally have previous experience in a hands-on maintenance/engineering process environment. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:

  • Comfortable with working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Good technical skills, ideally with a background in construction or maintenance
  • Strong attention to detail, proactive, and willing to learn
  • Valid driver's license is beneficial
  • Awareness of electrical and mechanical hazards within a facility
  • Knowledge and care for fire detection and extinguishing equipment
  • An ability to demonstrate an understanding of process plant and maintenance/repair
