Job Title

Independent Nuclear Assurance Site Evaluator

What You'll Be Doing

In this role, you will provide internal regulation and challenge across nuclear, environmental, radiological and industrial safety domains. You will lead programmes, monitor compliance with Site Licence conditions, and challenge station performance to meet international standards.

You will conduct risk-informed inspections, attend station meetings, and produce detailed reports that offer valuable insights into all aspects of safety performance. In addition, your work will support emergency exercises, outage management, the authorisation of key personnel and long-term operation of Sizewell B.

You will collaborate with station and Central INA teams to track actions, evaluate trends, and build relationships that foster a strong safety culture. Your observations and assessments will help shape the future of nuclear safety at EDF UK.

The Opportunity

As an Independent Nuclear Assurance Site Evaluator, you\'ll be at the forefront of promoting excellence in nuclear power plant operations. You\'ll provide independent scrutiny of safety and environmental protection activities, offering formal advice and insights where performance can be improved. You\'ll work closely with station management, supporting and influencing them in achieving best practice results and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and company procedures. This role offers the chance to influence safety culture and contribute to the safe and reliable operation of our nuclear sites. This role is based full-time on site at Sizewell B Power Station.

Who You Are

You hold a degree, HND, or HNC in a technical or engineering field, or an equivalent qualification. With several years of post-graduate experience, you bring a deep understanding of safety management, regulatory processes, and human performance principles. You will also have experience of working with pressurised water reactors.

You are a clear communicator with strong analytical skills and a questioning attitude. You are adept at building relationships across all levels of the organisation and have experience in project management, decision-making, and influencing. Chartered membership of a professional body or equivalent professional stature is desirable.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is between £61,730 - £110,723. You\'ll be appointed based on the parameters outlined in the Company Agreement as well as your existing salary, competence, experience and qualifications.
