Overview

With executive and partner members of the board, non-executive directors have collective responsibility and corporate accountability for the performance of the organisation, ensuring its functions are effectively and efficiently discharged and its financial obligations are met. You will work alongside the Chair, other non-executives, executive directors and partner members and be responsible for specific areas relating to board governance and oversight.

Responsibilities
  • These are voting members of the board:
  • Bringing independent and respectful challenge to the plans, aims and priorities of the ICB
  • Promoting open and transparent decision-making that facilitates consensus aimed to deliver exceptional outcomes for the population
  • Personally, you will bring a range of professional expertise as well as community understanding and experience to the work of the Board
  • As Chair of the Audit Committee, you will have the qualifications, expertise or experience to enable you to express credible opinions on finance and audit matters and possess a strong background in Audit and Governance, an appreciation of public or private sector Audit and Governance arrangements, and ideally prior experience of a non-executive in the NHS.
  • You will also be appointed as the ICB's Conflict of Interest Guardian and support the application of the principles and policies for managing conflict, acting as a conduit for anyone with concerns relating to conflicts of interest, and to be a safe point of contact for concerns to be raised.
Remuneration

£13,000 to £16,000 a year. Dependent on time commitment and skills and experience
