Qualifications

  • GCSE in Maths and English A*-C/9-4 or equivalent required.
  • Level 3 qualification related to Education or SEND needed or to be completed within one year.
  • PGCE or other teaching qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and provide support to students with SEND and High Needs outside of the classroom.
  • Contribute towards interventions led by Inclusion Managers or the Student Experience Team.
  • Manage behaviours of High Needs, EHCP and SEND students using Trauma-Informed practice.
  • Develop resources and toolkits for student's resilience and personal wellbeing.

Inclusion Coach

Hours: 21 hours per week

Weeks: Term time - 40 weeks per year

Location: Castleford College

Salary: £29,267 to £31,050 pro rata (£15,259 to £16,188 actual salary)

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Inclusion Coach to join our fantastic ALS team. You will provide coaching and additional support to a cohort of learners with a range of support needs on a one-to-one basis and in group situations, with and without direct supervision. You will develop specific strategies to support learner achievement, liaise with teaching and non-teaching staff to encourage learner motivation and engagement in their chosen area of study, and contribute to the development of student literacy, communication, numeracy and study skills – as well as helping increase their levels of independence and social awareness in a range of settings.

You Will
  • Plan and provide support to students with SEND and High Needs outside of the classroom

About You
  • You will hold GCSE in Maths and English A*‑C/9‑4 or equivalent
  • You will hold a Level 3 qualification related to Education or SEND, or be willing to complete within one year of employment
  • A PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification is desirable but not essential
