Job summary

A national commercial insurance company is seeking an Associate Solicitor to provide top-level employment law advice to clients. The role allows for remote work with quarterly travel to the Bristol office. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of PQE and experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. Salary is competitive, up to £55,000, plus a generous benefits package.

Qualifications

Overview

Fantastic opportunity to join this niche national ABS / commercial insurance company and deal with top quality work on behalf of household companies & insurer clients. They have a national presence with offices based in the South West; this role can be entirely remote with travel once per quarter to their head office in Bristol.

Responsibilities
  • Provide respondent employment law advice on a range of matters for regional and national clients, and some individuals.
  • Review contracts, policies and procedures; advise on termination of employment; draft and advise on settlement agreements.
  • Provide corporate support on commercial agreements and corporate transactions; represent clients in employment tribunal matters.
  • Work on both contentious and non-contentious matters; primarily respondent work with scope to handle some claimant work.
  • Contribute to delivering high-quality client service, with a focus on finding commercial solutions in the shortest possible timescale.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • 2+ years’ PQE with experience of providing respondent employment law advice.
  • Experience handling quality employment law matters at an established practice.
  • Ability to work remotely with travel to Bristol once per quarter (occasional travel may be required).
Salary and Benefits
