Job summary

A logistics company in Greater London is seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage & Logistics Coordinator to provide customs and logistics services for domestic and international clients. Job description

We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage & Logistics Coordinator to deliver a comprehensive customs and logistics service to both domestic and international clients. This is a varied, hands‑on role suited to someone with strong customs knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a customer‑focused mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit accurate customs declarations for imports and exports, ensuring correct commodity codes and schemes are used
  • Create transit documents in line with customs compliance requirements
  • Prepare full export documentation, including raising airway bills
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and authorities to obtain and verify documentation
  • Arrange international and domestic transport from start to finish, providing status updates and final proof of delivery
  • Cost, quote, and advise on transport solutions and customs formalities
  • Respond to and resolve Border Force and customs enquiries
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance within an ETSF facility
  • Coordinate daily schedules for drivers and subcontractors
  • Load and unload vehicles when required and maintain warehouse stock records
  • Complete file checks and finalise charges ahead of invoicing
  • Organise pick and pack operations
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a customs environment
  • Proven experience handling imports and exports
  • Good working knowledge of customs systems (Descartes, Boxtop preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Logical, solutions‑focused approach to problem solving
  • Strong customer service orientation and relationship‑building skills
  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Capable of working independently, using initiative, and flexibly including outside normal office hours
