Job summary

A leading educational organization in the UK is seeking a Safeguarding and Welfare Coordinator to ensure the safety and wellbeing of international students aged 8–17 during summer programs. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people, preferably in a residential setting, and hold relevant safeguarding qualifications. Responsibilities include liaising with various team members, ensuring welfare issues are managed effectively, and maintaining health and safety standards. This role includes accommodation and a competitive salary.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people.
  • Experience working in a residential setting.
  • Experience of counselling or mentoring young people.
  • Full right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure cultural, religious and dietary needs of students are met.
  • Work with team and group leaders to maintain student discipline.
  • Be the first point of contact for students' welfare or safeguarding issues.
  • Organize regular meetings with the team.

Skills

Experience working with young people
Experience in a residential setting
Counselling or mentoring young people
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Confident use of Microsoft Office

Education

Level One 'Basic Awareness Safeguarding' trained
Level Two 'Advanced Safeguarding for Designated Staff' trained
