About the Role

Jackson Hogg is delighted to continue our partnership with PD Ports Conservancy. We are seeking a skilled Marine Hydraulic Technician to join their team and support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic systems on marine vessels, port equipment, and dredging machinery.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of hydraulic systems across marine operations, offshore structures, and heavy-duty dredging equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, and actuators.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance on vessels, cranes, winches, and dredging equipment.
  • Install and commission new hydraulic systems in coordination with engineers.
  • Use diagnostic tools to assess system performance and resolve issues.
  • Manage fluid power, maintain cleanliness, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Maintain records and report on system performance.
Requirements
  • Diploma, NVQ, or Degree in Hydraulic, Marine, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in marine, offshore, or heavy equipment hydraulic maintenance.
  • Strong skills in hydraulic schematics, pressure testing, and component rebuilding.
  • Proficiency with hydraulic tools, pumps, accumulators, and filtration systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in marine environments.
