A leading utilities consultancy is seeking a Hydraulic Modeller to improve water networks by conducting hydraulic analyses and identifying leakage vulnerabilities. You will work remotely and focus on developing solutions to reduce leakage and enhance network reliability. Candidates should have an engineering degree and experience in designing water models. Working for a Utilities consultancy delivering a Water Network programme improving flow, velocity and reducing leakage.
Location: Remote 5 days a week
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 basic
As a Hydraulic Modeller, you will be working on a transformation programme within Water Networks, working alongside the water provider to identify issues, seek improvements and support the team in signing off the correct solution. You will assist the leakage management teams by providing hydraulic analysis that identifies areas vulnerable to leakage or other network inefficiencies, building and calibrating detailed hydraulic models of water distribution networks to simulate water flow, pressure and network performance under various operational conditions.
Playing a vital role in the clean water team, you will use your technical knowledge of water networks to support designing and delivering solutions. The solutions will vary, but all are based on reducing leakage across the network.
