Job summary

A leading multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking a talented Town Planner to join their team in Telford. In this full-time role, you will offer expert planning advice and collaborate with clients to shape development strategies. The position supports a hybrid working model, allowing 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. The ideal candidate will hold a relevant degree and have at least 2 years of experience in a similar setting, along with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a consultancy, local authority, or developer setting.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of the English planning system and policy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support on planning applications, appraisals, pre‑apps, and development strategies.
• Prepare and submit planning statements, reports, and design & access statements.
• Provide clients with expert advice on national and local planning policy.
• Work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders throughout the planning process.
