Job summary

A reputable charity in the UK is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer/Senior Systems Engineer to support and improve complex IT infrastructure. You'll work with technologies such as Azure and Microsoft 365, ensuring services remain secure and operational. This full-time role offers a hybrid work model, with a salary ranging from £42,800 to £50,138 annually, plus excellent benefits. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in infrastructure and networking across cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365 and PowerShell.
  • Experience with networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPN and wireless.
  • Ability to meet conflicting demands and manage workloads effectively.
  • Skilled in producing clear technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership ensuring core infrastructure is operationally fit for purpose.
  • Troubleshoot and perform analysis to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Deliver infrastructure projects by planning, installing and maintaining components and services.
  • Automate processes by creating scripts and tools to streamline deployments.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure operational procedures remain accurate.

Skills

Experience in infrastructure and networking across cloud and hybrid environments
Experience with Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Azure, Microsoft 365, and PowerShell
Experience with networking including firewalls, routing, switching, VPN, and wireless
Ability to meet conflicting demands and manage workloads effectively
Skilled in producing clear technical documentation
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Experience with troubleshooting virtualised, cloud, and endpoint environments
Strong decision-making, planning and problem-solving skills
