Overview

Use your clinical experience to work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, to gain a clear understanding of how their challenges and the ways their disability affects them impacts their daily life. Working within an office style environment and at home, to complete detailed, meaningful and respectful assessments over the telephone, video or face-to-face. Interpret medical evidence and gather your findings into a comprehensive report, to support the decision-making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

Responsibilities
  • Interpret medical evidence and gather findings into a comprehensive report to support the decision‑making process by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
  • Complete detailed, meaningful assessments over the telephone, video or face‑to‑face, in a mixture of remote and assessment centre settings.
  • Assess claimants applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) as part of the DWP Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).
  • Maintain and uphold professional standards and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurses, Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Pharmacists or Occupational Therapists. NMC/HCPC registration is required.
