We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Humanities Teacher to join secondary schools in the Ipswich area. The successful candidate will inspire students in one or more humanities subjects—History, Geography, Religious Education, PSHE, or Social Sciences—helping them to develop critical thinking, curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world. Starting ASAP.
Plan and deliver engaging lessons across at least one humanities discipline (KS3 & KS4).
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners.
Encourage debate, discussion and independent enquiry to build analytical skills.
Monitor and assess progress, providing constructive feedback and clear targets for improvement.
Contribute to department planning, curriculum development, and whole-school initiatives.
Support enrichment activities such as trips, clubs and themed days.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in at least one humanities subject area.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Humanities Teacher.
Ability to inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
