We are seeking a passionate and versatile Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school team. This role is suitable for teachers with expertise in any of the following subjects: History, Geography, Religious Education (RE), PSHE, or Social Sciences. You will inspire pupils to develop critical thinking, analytical skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a Humanities Teacher:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons across one or more humanities subjects at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all students, including those with SEND or EAL.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Contribute to departmental planning, curriculum development, and extracurricular activities such as clubs, trips, or themed events.
Collaborate with colleagues and participate in school initiatives to enrich the wider learning experience.
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or recognised equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in at least one humanities discipline.
Ability to teach across multiple humanities subjects is advantageous.
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills as a Humanities Teacher.
Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students of all abilities.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
