Human Resources Manager - Choices

Location: Dedham

Type: Full-Time

The Human Resources Manager – Choices is an integral position within Human Resources, as well as for the entire agency. The Human Resources Choices Coordinator is responsible for recruiting for all positions within the agency, and is directly accountable to the Vice President of Human Resources. One of the major responsibilities of the position is to screen, interview and track candidates for all of TILL’s services.

Salary: $54k/yr

Essential Job Functions
  • Possess knowledge of each department’s individual needs.
  • Be familiar with all vacancies within the agency and the available schedules.
  • Respond to and screen candidates over the phone to determine the most suitable position for the candidate.
  • Interview candidates in a timely fashion.
  • Refer and track candidates to the appropriate department.
  • Check references.
  • Monitor BBP, CPR, First Aid and Medication certification expiration dates for all Relief staff. Send reminders regarding this training. Issue change of status forms, disciplinary memos and termination forms as needed.
  • Enter data regarding relief employee certifications, training and disciplinary memos.
  • Assist the Vice President of Human Resources in other projects as deemed appropriate and as time allows.
  • Keep track of Relief evaluation data and process the evaluations with the Managers.
  • Schedule new relief employees for required trainings.
  • Provide assistance to the Vice President of Human Resources for training and policy implementations.
  • Monitor the Relief staff list and remove inactive Relief staff every three months.
  • Process information on employees going from a permanent position to relief status.
  • Attend required trainings and regularly scheduled supervision meetings.
  • Assist the Vice President of Human Resources in a variety of activities to enhance employee relations and fringe benefits.
  • Counsel staff with regards to job satisfaction and career opportunities.
Qualifications
  • High School degree required.
  • Two years' experience in Human Services or related field.
  • Experience working with individuals who have development disabilities is strongly preferred.
  • A current driver’s license and car are required.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent telephone and strong organizational skills required.
