Overview

Uniphar is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our growing Medtech division. This is a key role partnering with business leaders across the UK and Europe to shape people strategies, deliver transformation projects, and foster a culture that attracts and retains talent. The HR Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to leadership teams, balancing strategic priorities with hands-on delivery where needed. This role is central to embedding our values, driving organisational growth, and ensuring our people agenda supports our ambitious business plans. This is a full-time, permanent role based in the UK (within commuting distance of the greater Manchester area). Some travel across the UK, Europe, and to our Dublin head office will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and embed our culture and employee value proposition, fostering engagement and collaboration across regions.
  • Coach and advise managers on leadership, performance, and employee relations, building capability and confidence.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and deliver a people plan aligned with commercial objectives and growth strategies.
  • Lead on talent, learning, and succession planning, working with managers to identify and develop high-potential employees.
  • Support/oversee the onboarding of key hires, ensuring we attract and retain the best talent.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and HR policies across multiple jurisdictions (UK, EU, Ireland).
  • Contribute to wider HR projects that support organisational effectiveness and growth.
  • Support integration projects, including TUPE, ensuring smooth transitions for employees and managers.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience as a HR Business Partner, ideally in a fast-growth or international environment.
  • Full clean driving licence and car owner.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, and organisational development.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of TUPE and experience managing change/transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation in the UK and Europe.
  • Commercial awareness and a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management and communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS (Workday an advantage).
  • Degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of four years' HR Business Partner experience in a progressive HR environment with proven skills in most or all of the areas outlined above.
  • TUPE experience desirable.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and Europe.
