Overview

Knightsbridge - 42 hrs Contract Full time NEW Human Resources Business Partner. We are looking for an exceptional HR Business Partner, to collaborate with and guide our Senior team on all things people strategy. At Harrods the HRBP truly has a seat at the table and is a respected part of the leadership team within the business area they support. If you are working at this level and enjoy providing thought leadership and holding healthy debates as well as having real influence on the strategic direction of the business, this role is for you. The role is to cover maternity and will be a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be supporting our Buying, Merchandising & Wholesale teams. It’s an exciting time in their world as we are about to implement a new technology platform that will change the way we plan, buy and manage our products and over time help drive our performance and operational excellence.

Our ideal applicant for this role will therefore have strong experience in supporting businesses going through large scale transformation and embedding continuous improvement cultures. As a truly strategic Business Partner, you will partner with Senior leaders to turn their strategic plans into tangible people roadmaps which you will fully own and deliver. As someone who thrives on working at pace, your drive, tenacity and passion for commercial outcomes, will shine through in your professional delivery and ability to build relationships quickly and effectively. Reporting to the Senior Human Resources Business Partner, who reports directly to the Chief People Officer, this role is also responsible for ensuring that key cyclical people-related activity such as Talent, Succession Planning and Reward Management are executed exceptionally.

You are someone who is ambitious and driven with the ability to influence and guide senior leaders. In style you are professional and confident, with high levels of presence and gravitas which paired with your extensive knowledge and expertise gives great confidence to your business stakeholders.

  • Genuine passion for delivering high standards of service and enabling others to do their best work.
  • Extensive track record in building credible and trusting relationships with stakeholders at the most senior level, as well as the ability to communicate, influence and network at this level
  • Strategic and commercial understanding and experience to deliver the best commercial outcomes
  • Interest in and the skills to read and interpret data and insights to shape and influence business change
  • Confidence to manage expectations and constructively challenge where required
  • Significant experience in all aspects of HR and employee lifecycle activity
  • The ability to identify risk (for example employment law, project timelines)
  • Flexibility in approach and able to manage and cope with ambiguity
  • Sound levels of judgement and the ability to make solid business decisions on which to base advice
