Job summary

A successful engineering business in Huddersfield is looking for a dedicated HR Advisor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role involves managing employee relations cases, advising on employment law, and coaching managers on HR practices. Candidates should have at least 2 years of HR experience in relevant industries and, ideally, a CIPD qualification. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a HR Advisor role.
  • Experience in Engineering, FMCG, Manufacturing, Logistics, or Distribution.
  • Skilled in high-volume complex ER casework.

Responsibilities

  • Manage employee relations casework advising managers on employment law.
  • Handle complex cases by providing practical advice.

  • Support apprentice performance reviews and development.

Responsibilities

This brand-new role has been created off the back of impressive growth within a thriving manufacturing and engineering group. Reporting into the HR Business Partner, this role will join an established People team and be responsible for working with stakeholders across the business to coach and advise on HR related issues including :

  • Managing a high volume of employee relations casework advising managers on employment law
  • Handle complex and sensitive cases by providing clear, practical advice and make timely decisions
  • Coaching and guiding managers on HR policies, processes and embedding best practice across the business
  • Supporting apprentice performance reviews and development conversations and interviews
  • Prioritise a varied workload in a fast-paced, operational environment
  • Build strong relationships with union representatives and support effective union engagement
Qualifications

The right person for this HR Advisor role will have the following attributes :

  • At least 2 years' experience in a HR Advisor role or above, preferably in an Engineering / FMCG / Manufacturing / Logistics / Distribution environment
  • Ideally you will be CIPD qualified or working towards this
  • Experienced in dealing with high-volume complex ER casework
