Ideal candidates will have knowledge of UK HSE regulations and possess strong communication skills. This position offers 26 days of holiday, a performance-based bonus, and a company pension scheme. Join us to help shape the future of advanced air mobility.
At Vertical Aerospace, we are pioneering the way for electric aviation. The Valo, our eVTOL (electric, vertical, take‑off and landing), 'zero emissions' aircraft will set a new safety standard for how we will navigate the sky. We won't realise our mission following the same legacy processes and traditions our predecessors followed, instead, we want to 'redefine' aerospace best practices. We are growing quickly from a prototype business to a scaling SME, and the next few years will be critical to our success and delivering on our ambitious goals. Valo is targeting airliner‑level safety certification in 2028 ahead of entering service with our airline and operator customers.
As a Health & Safety Officer, you will join a growing HSE team of passionate individuals whose primary focus is to support our HSE systems and ensure safe, efficient working in line with VA standards. This role is site‑based due to the high demands and varied activities, with occasional travel to Bristol for support or training. Working closely with the Site Responsible Person, HSE team, and on‑site functions (Test, Powertrain, Logistics), you will help maintain a safe, risk‑free environment and contribute to shaping the future of our expanding HSE operations. A typical day could range from conducting site inspections and audits to delivering toolbox talks, investigating incidents with clear root cause identification, and liaising with external bodies to ensure compliance across all sites. The ability to work under pressure, demonstrate resilience to change, and build strong professional relationships will all factor into this role's impact and your success.
We may just be the hardest job you've ever had, but we're confident it will be the most rewarding. Join the team today and help us shape the future of Advanced Air Mobility.
