Qualifications

  • Support the HSE Coordinator in driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture.
  • Manage and maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and HSE documentation.
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings across the site.
  • Carry out inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance.

What to Expect

We are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of sustainable Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures across the organization. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, promoting a culture of safety, and driving continuous improvement in HSE standards. The HSE Coordinator will support the establishment and management of all HSE functions, ensuring effective rollout to all departments and ongoing maintenance for reliability and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the HSE Coordinator in driving a proactive health, safety and environmental culture
  • Manage and maintain risk assessments, COSHH compliance, and HSE documentation
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and safety briefings across the site
  • Carry out inspections, audits, and monitoring to ensure compliance and drive improvements
  • Coordinate waste management, pollution control, and environmental initiatives
  • Lead or support site HSE committee meetings and develop safety initiatives
  • Oversee PPE requirements and first aid arrangements
  • Liaise with Corporate and EMEA teams to ensure consistency in HSE processes
  • Deputise for the HSE Manager when required

Requirements and Preferred Skills
  • 2-4 years of experience in an HSE role within manufacturing, engineering, or oil & gas
  • Proven experience as an internal auditor with hands‑on knowledge of HSE management systems, including OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001
  • Minimum Level 5 HSE qualification (or equivalent) such as NEBOSH, NVQ, or NCRQ
  • Active member of a relevant professional body such as IOSH, IEMA, or IIRSM
