Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and assess the impact of changes in legislation on company policies.
  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
  • Regularly review and update policies to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement corrective actions and preventative measures based on findings.
  • Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on HSE best practices.
  • Promote safety awareness and a culture of responsibility among staff.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, documenting findings and recommending improvements.
  • Maintain records of incidents and ensure proper reporting to regulatory bodies.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for HSE-related inquiries.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on HSE performance to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field or years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
  • Proven experience in a stand alone HSE management position.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, ISO 14001).
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
