Job summary

A leading recruitment agency in the UK is looking for a Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) officer to oversee compliance, monitor safety practices, and deliver training across projects. This role requires a NEBOSH diploma or equivalent, strong project management skills, and the ability to promote a positive safety culture. You will conduct audits, prepare reports, and support project teams in ensuring effective Health & Safety measures are in place, all while adhering to legal and regulatory obligations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and experience of construction and civil engineering processes.

• Ability to communicate effectively and engage at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and assess compliance with health and safety practices.
• Prepare reports and documentation for safety audits and investigations.
• Deliver training and coaching to project teams on health and safety protocols.

Skills

Ability to influence and promote a positive HSES culture

Competence in incident & accident investigation

Strong understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulatory Framework

Ability to prepare formal written reports

Project planning and management skills

Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) competence

Education

NEBOSH National Diploma or equivalent Level 6 qualification
