HR Officer - Temporary

£30,000 - £35K DOE

Stockport

Excellent opportunity to join this non‑for‑profit organisation currently seeking an experienced HR Officer to provide HR advice and support and guidance to line managers across all areas of HR. The role is to start immediately on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offering advice and guidance to managers with all aspects of HR, specifically including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Employee engagement
  • Employee communications
  • Competence, capability and performance management
  • Conduct and discipline at work
  • Attendance and sickness management
  • Welfare support and stress prevention/management; employee health and wellbeing
  • People motivation, satisfaction and retention; employee career development and upskilling; workplace inclusion and diversity
  • Relationships with workplace representatives/trade unions; delivering HR training
  • Leading on local investigations
  • Chairing formal meetings when required
Key Skills
  • Experience of working in a similar role in HR
  • Ideally CIPD qualified
  • Discreet and confidential approach
  • Ability to facilitate, manage and minute meetings effectively
  • A high standard of written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to produce high quality reports.
