JOB TITLE - HR Manager
LOCATION - East Berkshire
SALARY - £40,000 - £45,000 per annum
TERM - Full-Time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team in East Berkshire. This role focuses on delivering effective HR support across the manufacturing site, ensuring policies are applied fairly, processes run smoothly, and managers are supported in leading their teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day HR support and guidance to managers and employees.
  • Manage employee relations cases including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new staff.
  • Maintain HR records and ensure compliance with employment law, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Assist managers with workforce planning and scheduling to support operational needs.
  • Deliver training and development initiatives to support skill growth and compliance (health & safety, policies, supervisory skills).
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency across the workforce.
  • Monitor HR metrics such as absence, turnover, and training completion, and provide regular reports.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and support wellbeing initiatives on-site.
  • Champion diversity, equality, and inclusion at all levels of the workforce.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous HR management or HR generalist experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR processes.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
  • Experience managing employee relations cases end-to-end.
  • CIPD Level 3 minimum (working towards Level 5 desirable).
  • Practical, hands-on approach to supporting managers and staff.
