HR/ER Advisor – Basingstoke (Hybrid - 2 days in-office)

Are you an experienced HR professional with strong expertise in Employee Relations (ER)? We are looking for a confident and capable HR / ER Advisor to join our client's team on a short-term assignment supporting a dynamic organisation through a busy and impactful period.

Reporting into the Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a key role in providing expert ER advice and guidance to line managers, enabling effective people management and supporting a culture of continuous improvement and best practice. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on complex ER casework. You must bring solid experience managing a range of employee relations issues. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is comfortable with change, and thrives in a collaborative HR function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and advise on a variety of complex ER cases, including grievances, disciplinaries, absence management, appeals, and more
  • Coach and support line managers to build capability in people management
  • Ensure legal and policy compliance in all ER activity, staying up to date with employment law
  • Support HR Business Partners with organisational change initiatives (e.g. restructures, TUPE, redundancy)
  • Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and proactively address ER risks
  • Assist in preparing documentation for Employment Tribunals and provide technical support as needed
  • Develop and deliver training/coaching sessions to upskill managers in ER and performance management
  • Collaborate across the wider People team to align with strategic goals and ongoing initiatives
