Overview

Next Generation is recruiting for an HR Advisor to support a well‑established manufacturing business based near Wednesbury. Working as part of a wider team and reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate processes and guidelines to help align the workforce.

Duties of the HR Advisor
  • Advise, guide and support managers with all matters relating to employee relations
  • Effective case management of people related issues such as disciplinaries, performance management, redundancies and absence management, raising complex cases to the HR Manager for support
  • Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation
  • Monitor trends in employment practices and advise on appropriate proactive action
  • Provide advice and guidance on disciplinary and welfare cases, capability, grievance, and coach managers where appropriate
  • Keep abreast of changes in relevant employment law legislation and ensure that the Company complies
  • Undertake and support relevant projects in line with the HR strategy
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years experience working within an HR environment (Essential)
  • CIPD/Degree equivalent in relevant subject (Desirable)
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment (Essential)
  • Good knowledge of Employment Law (Essential)
  • Experience providing guidance on ER topics such as disciplinary, capability and grievances (Essential)
