Job summary

A leading firm in the Legal sector is seeking an HR Advisor to join their team in Maidstone on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will support managers on HR-related tasks and queries, contributing to the firm's people strategy. A minimum of 3 years HR experience is required, ideally with CIPD qualifications, alongside strong knowledge of UK employment law. Job description

Our client, a leading firm in the Legal sector is seeking an HR Advisor to join them on a full-time, permanent basis.

Due to growth our client is looking to hire an HR Advisor to join their HR department, where you will be working closely with the wider team to help support and guide Managers within the firm with all people-related tasks, whilst acting as the go-to for HR queries, questions and advice whilst supporting the firms wider people strategy.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience and will ideally be CIPD qualified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding, including staff inductions and exit interviews
  • Maintain accurate employee records, ensuring the internal HR systems are maintained and updated regularly
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee-related questions and HR queries
  • Assist with recruitment
  • Provide guidance on employee-related matters, including grievances, disciplinaries, absences and performance
  • Support with HR-related projects across the firm
Key Experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years HR experience
  • Previous experience in the Legal / professional services field would be advantageous, although not essential
  • CIPD Level 3 / 5 qualified
  • Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is maintained at all times
  • Confident liaising with colleagues of all levels across the firm
  • Able to advise and guide Management with people-related queries
