Are you an experienced HR professional with strong payroll knowledge? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an HR Advisor to join their growing and collaborative team based in Leeds City Centre.

Responsibilities
  • Payroll Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and legal compliance
  • Employee Relations: Provide advice and guidance on ER issues, absence management, and performance concerns
  • HR Operations: Oversee HR administration across the full employee lifecycle—from onboarding to offboarding
  • Policy & Compliance: Support the development and implementation of HR policies, ensuring adherence to employment law
  • HR Projects: Lead and support on HR initiatives such as engagement, retention, and wellbeing programmes
  • Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate records and produce insightful HR and payroll reports for senior leadership
Skills, Experience, and Training
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years in a generalist HR role
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices
  • Qualifications: CIPD (or working towards) desirable
  • Systems: Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Communication: Confident, professional, and comfortable advising stakeholders at all levels
