Job description

I am delighted to be working with a highly reputable and dynamic professional services firm in Bath to help them recruit an HR Advisor.

This is a newly created position due to growth, offering great exposure to work as a true generalist within a busy, forward thinking, and commercial HR team.

Salary up to £40,000 + benefits and hybrid working of 2 days in the office.

As the HR Advisor you will play a crucial role in supporting your designated business areas with all HR support and guidance, you will work closely with the Senior HR Advisor and wider HR team ensuring a highly effective and efficient HR service is delivered across the organisation.

Duties will include:

  • First point of contact for all HR advice and guidance
  • Provide advice and guidance on a range of Employee relation case work to include, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance.
  • Coach and guide managers through the full employment life cycle to maximise performance.
  • Provide excellent stakeholder management skills, building effective relationship’s with your client groups.
  • Support and lead on onboarding of new starters
  • Support on cyclical HR activities i.e., pay reviews.
  • Updating of HR policy and procedures in line with current legislation and UK employment law
  • HR reporting and HR data analysis for Senior leadership teams.

What you will need:

  • A strong understanding of generalist HR practice is essential as well as up to date employment law
  • Proven experience within an advisory role
  • Good understanding of core HR disciplines, Employee Relations, Recruitment, Performance Management, Talent & Reward.
  • CIPD level 5 or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience of developing HR policies and processes.
  • Proven ability within Employee Relations to include, absence management, performance, grievance and disciplinary.
  • Ability to work with and manipulate HR data providing various reports, highlighting trends and insights.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to positively influence across the business.
