Position: HR Assistant (People Associate)

Contract type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Colchester (CO4 9QR)

Salary: £27,000 per annum DOE

About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR Administrator to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the HR function. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, people‑focused, and looking to build or further develop a career in Human Resources.

You will play a key role in ensuring HR processes run efficiently, providing comprehensive administrative support across the employee lifecycle and acting as a first point of contact for HR‑related queries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support across all HR activities and processes
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, changes, and off‑boarding
  • Maintain accurate employee records and update HR systems in a timely manner
  • Prepare employment contracts, letters, and other HR documentation
  • Act as a first point of contact for basic HR queries, responding professionally and promptly
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to support HR initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and data protection requirements
  • Support the continuous improvement of HR processes in a fast‑paced environment
About You
  • Previous experience in an HR administration or similar role
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Competent using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, etc.)
