Salary: £25,526 - £26,869 per annum + Benefits

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire (OX4)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Key Requirement: Candidates MUST hold a full, clean driving licence with access to their own vehicle

Job Overview

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Housing Support Worker supporting clients experiencing domestic abuse and helping them access safe, sustainable options. As a Housing Support Worker you will deliver tailored support, respond to helpline enquiries, and work closely with internal teams and external partners to promote safety and wellbeing across community care and support services. You’ll manage referrals, complete needs assessments, maintain accurate records, and play a key role in safeguarding, advocacy, and move‑on support.

Duties
  • Providing tailored support to clients across refuge, outreach, and helpline services.
  • Managing referrals and conducting comprehensive needs assessments.
  • Supporting clients with tenancy rights, responsibilities, and housing options.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external professionals including police and healthcare services.
  • Facilitating group work and delivering group sessions for clients.
  • Responding to helpline queries with empathy and professionalism.
  • Advocating for clients and supporting safe move‑on pathways.
  • Maintaining accurate case notes and contributing to safeguarding processes.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience working directly with vulnerable clients or individuals affected by domestic abuse.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Basic IT skills and willingness to learn new systems.
  • A compassionate, proactive, and collaborative approach to support work.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent).
